ANNOUNCEMENTS

•		Dear WG Alumni!!! I just want to personally thank each and every one of you for being a part of this very special senior project with my daughter Hannah. It has gone way beyond our expectations. She has raised around $3500.00 at this point – way beyond what we had anticipated. This was certainly reached with the help of Western Guilford. I really don’t know what to say, except thank you very very much. Mama Jackie (which we all call her) is without words as well. Just to keep you all informed, she will start her first round of chemotherapy on March 16. Hopefully, she will be able to tolerate it better than last time. I will keep you guys posted on her progress. Thanks so much again for all of your kind words. Angie Hendren McIntosh ---------------- Hey Everyone: First of all, the WGHS alumni needs to give themselves a pat on the back for a challenge WELL DONE ! I am pleased to announce that the Challenge among the Alumni.....to donate toward that Breast Cancer Fund in Honor of Jackie Hendren.........a senior project by Hannah McIntosh.....daughter of Jim and Angie Hendren McIntosh (both WG '79) has totaled out at $1,371.00......amazing! Second, I am doubly pleased to announce that the Class of '77 has won the bragging rights for the most money donated per class. Below are the donation totals: Class '70 - $50.00 '72 - $25.00 '73 - $375.00 '74 - $50.00 '75 - $25.00 '76 - $10.00 '77 - $541.00 '78 - $25.00 '79 - $270.00 THANKS again to all that participated..........it was a great showing for all of the WGHS alumni !!! cynthia b. •		We have added a Forum over on the left under "Hornet Buzz" titled, Prayer Requests. If you have any requests, you can add them here or add your thoughts to those already added.

•		New Feature! There is now a "Live Chat" feature over on the left. If you see that someone is on-line at the same time you are, you can now chat directly with them. Check it out.

•		If you haven't done so, check out the Sports section over on the left. Lewis Rowland graciously shared video of Coach Henderson's induction into the Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame recently. He also added lots of stuff from the football state championship Western won, our junior year. There's also a video of the game!

•		Britts Nicholson, a WGHS graduate from around 1974 is putting together a directory of former WGHS graduates. They are putting together a combined reunion for 5 classes from the '70's and I think it grew out of that. He asked me to send him our information (names, addresses, emails, phone numbers) for all our classmates. I told him I would not provide this information to him, but would instead, forward his contact information to you so that you can decide whether or not to reply. He has over 2000 classmates in his database and regularly sends it out to everyone who responds. If you are interested in being included in his database, you can contact him at wghs.alumni@bellsouth.net. As I've posted on here before, I will not forward any information you provide on this website to anyone for any purpose.
